COUNCIL MEETINGS
Held on the First Thursday of every month in the Fireside Room:
- 6:00 PM - Officers Meeting – Parish Library
- 6:30 PM – Light meal
- 7:00 PM - Holy Rosary (Open to all)
- 7:30 PM - Council Meeting (Open to all Brothers Knights with Current Membership Card)
ABOUT OUR COUNCIL
Council number 12983 works closely
with our home parish of St. John The Evangelist in Vancouver, providing
funds for various youth programs (including High School Senior Scholarships), St. Vincent DePaul, milk for Share
House, numerous parish improvement programs, Parking Lot Security and other activities.
There is also a Spanish Round Table that meets the Second Sunday of every month after the 1:00 PM mass in the parish hall. .

a program seeking a doantion.

Knights are needed for The Steak and Crab Dinner
We still need lots of help on both shifts. Please contact Jim Parks to sign up for a shift.
Parking Lot Security
The security of the parish parking lot depends on many volunteers to be successful. Encourage non-Knight
parishioners to participate and volunteer for a shift at least on a quarterly basis. Jerry Andre is the point man with this program. Jerry

Operation Appreciation
The Spring/Summer 2011 installment of Operation Appreciation was another complete success. A total 92 pounds of
goodies were sent to six seperate service members in Iraq and Afghanistan. The success was due to the overwelming generousity of our parishioners.
Youth Soccer Program
Youth soccer program is in full swing with practice every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 – 8:00 PM now until August 29.
Soccer games are play each Saturday morning starting at 9:00AM. Come join in!
